Dr. Andrea Maddox is a dedicated veterinarian with a passion for integrative medicine and helping pets achieve greater comfort, mobility, and quality of life. Originally from Tullahoma, Tennessee, Dr. Maddox earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine in 2009.
Early in her veterinary career, Dr. Maddox developed a strong interest in complementary and integrative approaches to patient care. In 2012, she became certified in animal chiropractic care, expanding her ability to support patients through approaches that complement traditional veterinary medicine.
Her commitment to integrative care continued in 2017 when she pursued additional training in acupuncture for both small and large animals through Chi University. In 2021, Dr. Maddox further expanded her expertise by becoming a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Veterinarian through the Integrative Veterinary Medical Institute.
Today, Dr. Maddox combines her traditional veterinary training with her experience in chiropractic care, acupuncture, and rehabilitation to provide a more comprehensive approach to veterinary wellness. Her goal is to look at the whole patient and develop individualized care that supports mobility, comfort, function, and overall quality of life.
In 2024, Dr. Maddox and her family moved to McKinney, Texas. They enjoy discovering all that McKinney and the surrounding North Dallas communities have to offer, including spending time with youth sports groups, exploring downtown McKinney, and enjoying activities throughout the area.
Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Maddox enjoys creating and building custom, pet-friendly furniture—combining her creativity and love of animals in unique ways.
Dr. Maddox chose to pursue integrative medicine because she believes veterinary care can extend beyond traditional treatment methods. By incorporating complementary therapies alongside conventional veterinary medicine, she strives to provide a more complete approach to each patient's individual needs.

Chief IT Supervisor, Treat Cleanup Specialist & Director of Feline Affairs
At just 1 year and 3 months old, Toeby has already secured several very important positions at MVP Rehabilitation and Integrative Services!
Originally adopted from an animal shelter in Tennessee, Toeby earned his name thanks to his extra toes! As a polydactyl (Hemingway) cat, he comes equipped with a few extra toe beans and a whole lot of extra personality!
Toeby takes his responsibilities at MVP very seriously. As Head of IT, he regularly walks across keyboards to ensure everyone is staying on their toes (all of them!). As the official Treat Cleanup Specialist, he makes sure no snack goes to waste. He also enjoys demonstrating therapeutic exercises and closely supervising water therapy sessions—although he prefers to keep his own paws dry!
When it comes to making friends, Toeby has a few requirements. Clients bearing food or toys are immediately approved, and the bigger and fluffier the dog, the better! Of course, any dog willing to share—or unknowingly surrender—their treats earns bonus points.
Despite his demanding schedule, Toeby still finds time for his favorite pastime: playing with a simple pipe cleaner. Who needs expensive cat toys when you've got imagination and extra toes?
Toeby's motto: "Work hard, nap harder, and never let a treat go unattended!" 🐱💙
